Sunday in Caerleon

Andrew and I went to Caerleon this afternoon and visited the Roman Legionary Museum. The museum contained the usual clay jugs, spear and arrow heads and the large posters that cover the walls. It also had an open grave with a 40 year old Roman soldiers remains. It was awesome.

Just down the road from the museum are the Roman Baths. They were very impressive and on a similar scale to those at Bath in England. What I prefered about the baths at Caerleon was that it was around a quarter of the price to get in, and Andrew and I and another couple were the only people there. On the way back to the car, we popped into the Tourist Information Centre and picked up a bunch of brochures of similar things to do and see in South Wales...and Andrew got me an apron with the Welsh dragon on it.
