Halloween weekend

I want to blog about the weekend, Halloween and our awesome new apartment, but I feel as though I’m not really going to be able to do it justice. It was that good. Everything was.

In between the packing, moving, cleaning and carrying things up to the apartment we still managed to have a great weekend.

We went to St George’s Market, browsed and bought cheese and olives and peppered sausage and freshly squeezed orange juice. St George’s Market is wonderful, filled with stalls selling fresh and organic vegetables, fish, eggs and everything else you could ever want from a market.

On Saturday night, for Halloween, we dressed up and went to Clarendon dock for the fireworks display. It was Northern Irelands biggest and best we were told, and it was pretty darn impressive. They chose good music to set them off to as well, which always helps. Muse, Keane and Snow Patrol, the sky all lit up, loud bangs and hundreds of people about dressed up and just warming up before a big night out. We had a pit stop at The Basement, next to City Hall before heading off towards the Limelight. We had a good night, finished off with my first stop at a kebab shop for some steak on chips and then the walk back to the docks.

Sunday comprised mostly of the last of the packing and cleaning and sorting out and getting the last of our stuff into the apartment. That was exhausting, but thankfully it is all finished now.

Yay for our awesome new place!! And just for everything really.
