Bafana Bafana, braais and some beers

We were at Belfast's George Best stupidly early on Friday morning for our weekend away in the shire. By ten o'clock we were on our way to Olney and two days of South African themed BBQ (we braaied). We braaied hard! There were three different types of boerwors, chicken flatties, All Gold, Steers Monkey Gland, Cheese Naks, a big SA flag and buckets of beers and boxes of wine...the big wide screen telly was set up outside in a gazebo and garden chairs scattered around on the grass. It all helped to fuel the patriotism I've been feeling of late...
We're going to be spending a lot at the online version of this store!
All Gold...All Gold...tastes real good...
At the pub and rooting for Bafana Bafana
Sword fights - I die convincingly.
Watching Jonathan Ross in the garden.
We took a two mile walk in the park. Olney is lovely. Newport Pagnell is lovely too. We stopped off there on our way to the airport for a drink and almost ended up missing our flight...for once we were glad for delays!

It's nice to go away, but it's always good to come home, even if it was to an apartment without bread in it and a flat tyre and a mountain of washing and ironing and work the next day.
