Buckinghamshire in a blur

Leanne picked us up at Luton on Friday. She took us to Stony Stratford to the Indian restaurant ‘Naidni’, which is very creatively ‘Indian’ spelled backwards’, and then a drink at the Crown with her friends Rachel, Chris and Stacey. We stayed up late sitting on Leanne’s couch drinking tea, chatting, catching up and playing with the cats.

Clockwise from top left: Leanne and Willow, the teddy bear outside of the toy shop in Olney,
Caroline and James in Woburn, and me and Lea.
Craig and Caroline picked us up in the afternoon and drove us to Woburn, which is so pretty and I wished I’d had a chance to explore some more and take some pictures. I was there before, in 2003 for the Oyster Festival, but then too, the town was so packed that I couldn't get pictures. We lunched on fish at Loch Fyne.
Clockwise from top left: mini keg of Olney ale, Olney, dinner at Craigs, and Cruga, the South African
shop in Milton Keynes.
Saturday evening was spent at their home in Olney, which is also so beautiful. Craig had a huge spread of buffet food prepared for us as well as a mini keg of ale from the brewery near Olney. The evening was passed with an intense game of chess and fierce competition on the Xbox Kinect.

I'm so not competitive.

Which is just as well, 'cos I'm crap at anything that requires coordination. Or concentration.
