My birthday

I got out of work early on Friday and Lee and I went in to Belfast to pick Leanne up who was visiting for the long weekend. We had some Chinese for dinner then made ourselves comfy on the couch for the evening of chatting and catching up.

On Saturday morning we were up early for a drive over to Carlingford, but not before I got to open up presents!

 King John's castle
The sun came out and shone brilliantly as we wandered through the little streets of Carlingford. We ate some light lunch, walked around the castle ruins and ate ice creams. It's a pretty wee town and it was a lovely outing.

We ate dinner that night at James Street South Bar and Grill in the city. We loved the more relaxed and casual atmosphere of the restaurant to that of the 'proper' James Street South restaurant. We ate excellently and Lee is still going on about his squid.

Thanks Lee and Leanne for making my birthday such a great day!

    1. It's a lovely wee place and not too far if you're driving from Belfast. It was packed with tourists too!
