The last couple of nights of holiday we spent in Cannes. Italy was lovely, but we do love France. We strolled the streets, stopping in to little cafés for coffees and pastries and we splashed in the Mediterranean. Amy walked up and down the main promenade charming all the passer-bys. A lot of people stopped to talk to us and say hello to our sweet little chick. But mostly in French.

And that concludes my entries of our family holiday photos. I took far too many photos to go through and it was difficult to know where to start.
It was great to get away with the family and although holidays with two babies aren't exactly relaxing, it was fun. It's good to go away, but it's always nice to come home again...

San Gimignano

We stopped off here on our first day on the way to our villa. It was pouring! Most of the wee shops were closed up and we ducked for cover under some outdoor umbrellas from a café. It was so miserable and I was fairly disappointed because San Gimignano was supposed to be a highlight.
Anyway, we went back again and that day was sunny and dry.
We did a spot of souvenir shopping, ate some pizza and walked Amy around the town.

Pretty medieval Siena! We spent most of our time here hanging around the Piazza del Campo, eating pizza and ice cream, playing with the babies and looking in to the little souvenir shops. I think this was the morning that Amy had woken with a pretty high temperature. The poor little girl was so sick but she still managed a few smiles!

Volpaia, Gaiole & Radda - a wee dander around some Chianti villages

Lee, Amy and I visited Volpaia for breakfast one of the mornings. Yummy brushchetta and cappuccino in the sunshine! We went back with Lee's mom the following day for brunch.

We all went to Gaiole, we stopped for ice cream and a little walk around the village. James discovered he really did like ice cream after all.
