For every bear that ever there was...

The three of us went to a teddy bear's picnic this afternoon. We were there last year and Amy was soo excited to see Teddy! She was a bit more cautious and suspicious this year, and kept her distance a bit. She spent a lot of time looking a bit concerned and unsure. I packed a little picnic of butter and raspberry jam sandwiches cut in to small triangles, grapes, raisins, chocolate rice pudding, milky buttons and tea.

A cup of milk and a cuddle on the couch with In the Night Garden before bed.

Streamvale on a Saturday morning

We took a little trip to Streamvale farm this morning. Amy got to stroke some bunnies, chicks and puppies! I think the roosters scared her a little with their cock-a-doodle-doos, but the bunnies made up for it! We stopped on our way out for some ice-cream made on the farm, from cow to cone :-) Amy fell asleep in the car on the way home and she's now all tucked up in her bed. Aaaah, weekend nap times.

The McKeegans are headed to Mexico in the next couple of weeks on honeymoon, and since it's also both of their birthdays this month, we thought we'd just combine everything and have a Mexican themed lunch. Lee made us all tacos, nachos and quesadillas, he bought tequila and Mexican beers, there was much quacamole, cottage cheese dips and all sorts of yummy things with lime and coriander liberally added.

Amy woke earlier than normal from her nap, obviously not wanting to miss out on any fun. She was warm, snuggly and shy when I brought her downstairs and she sat cuddled on the couch next to me for at least half an hour sipping on her rooibos tea. I did nothing to encourage her to play and just enjoyed the quiet and still time before the tornado she usually is returned.

After Amy was back in bed for the night, we sat outside with blankets around us. Lee, Aidan and Carri-ann had some tequila and everyone got very chatty as the evening wore on. Aidan ordered us pizza.

Below are a load of pictures of Amy wearing a sombrero...
