Yesterday & Today

It was hot yesterday. Sunny and hot with no breeze. We spent most of the day in the garden, and then Lee came home unexpectedly early to start painting the fence (thinking he'd get peace and we would be out with his mum). I'd decided to stay at home as it was just easier with us being in the midst of potty training (again).
After the babies went to bed, nana stayed while we popped out to get some more painting supplies and more stuffs from B&M. Then we stopped off at the pub nearby for scouting mission and quick drink. Lee's very happy to have found a nice, old fashioned local bar. It was a good day.

Today was rainy and windy and we didn't leave the house at all today, not even to go in to the garden. We read stories, played with playdoh, watched some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Duplo, made a blanket house and I cooked a batch of food to freeze for Tom. Yummy chicken with carrot and sweet potato. He seemed to like it :)

Amy was adorable in her little pony tails and was so so sweet. After her bath she sat on my lap, wrapped her arms around my neck and said 'rock me mama'. Which resulted in an Old Crow Medicine show 'wagon wheel' sing song. Even Tom seemed impressed. He likes my singing. Wonder how long that will last.

The potty business is seemingly going okay this time around. She's nearly 2 and 10 months. We've completed a whole week and I don't think there's any going back this time. Such a big girl now!
