I drove us over to Ballintoy on Sunday. Granda is back in his regular spot at the harbour doing his paintings. Amy was playing on the beach with nana, throwing stones in to the water, making sand castles and filling up the moat. She was having too much fun to leave, so Lee, Tom and I went to Bushmills and had a little lunch. When we got back aunty 'nette and James had arrived.
Tom likes a digestive biscuit :)
One day this week while Tom napped and Amy was watching her Blaze and the Monster Machines on telly, I snuck out in to the garden with a cup of tea and my Unmumsy Mum book I got for mother's day. The sun was shining, it was cold enough, but the sun shone and I didn't want to miss it. Amy found me after I'd read a couple of pages. She ran back in to the house and brought back a few books and the two of us sat in the sun and read our books. It was a nice moment :)

Saturday

Saturday morning at the Folk Park.
We enjoy a good walk through the folk park countryside.
We saw lambs that were less than an hour old and piggies that were a few weeks old.
Amy and Tom liked the hens and
the roosters with their cockadoodle-doo's.
We warmed our hands over the fires in the cottages, collected sticks,
and looked for muddy puddles to jump in.

Monday, 7 March 2016

The three of us have been sick, me, Amy and Tom. So far, Lee's managed to avoid it. It feels like we've been sick all year, just constant coughs and too much snot and whiney, cry-y clingy babies who both want to be held at the same time.
I'm hoping three and a half weeks of sunshine will help!

Yesterday was mother's day. I managed to get these photos before we were off to Ballymena and lunch out at the Countryman.
Amy had great fun with James, and Tom enjoyed flinging his vegetables and chips from his high chair next to me.

Yesterday

The children shared their germs and I've got a cold now too.
We'll be having a couple of quiet days in the house I think.
Amy's been watching far too much Paw Patrol and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
She got her preschool injections yesterday. We told her if she was brave, we'd take her to the toy shop and she could choose a toy.
She wasn't very brave. She tried to run out of the doctors office. She cried and she yelled. I had to restrain her while the nurse gave her the injections. Afterwards she said she didn't really feel it.
She just likes to be dramatic.
We went to Toys 'r Us anyway and she chose a big Rubble in his vehicle and Everest and Rocky. She's a big Paw Patrol fan.
I couldn't convince her to leave her new toys long enough to get in the bath, so she went to bed unwashed.
